Twelve Hills Nature Trail

This is our go-to trail because we can walk to it from our house. We only saw one other family while we were there. Every time we go, we always see something different, such as budding flowers or interesting birds. On this visit, we saw a few bluebonnets. A very easy path with a few inclines.

We have routinely volunteered there and have taken advantage of the bird and toddler walks.

The entire loop is half a mile, but if you take your time to look around, this outing could take a lot longer.

From its website: Five-acre nature center featuring a butterfly garden with benches, walking trails & wildflowers.

Dogs are allowed, as long as they are on the leash. If you forget a doggie bags, they are provided for you just outside the trail, as well as a trash can. Please pick up after your dog.

Open sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week.

Length: .5 mile loop.
